What does this measure tell us?
These response time and deployment measures establish minimum acceptable criteria as established by the District in an effort to provide rapid fire suppression and EMS services. Response standards are established by the NFPA, however it is recognized that the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) should adopt deployment standards that are acceptable to the governing body. It is also recognized that arriving at an incident within the response standard in all cases (given today’s variables) is unrealistic. Therefore, the figure of 90% has been established by the District as the appropriate bench mark.  For the purposes of keeping the rating system on a 100% scale, see calculation formula.
Note: Where 90% is the benchmark showing 100% compliance; the calculation is computed by 100/90* the accumulated percentage of the data.  Therefore the numbers shown indicate the percentage attained in relation to 90%.
Goal being measured:
Develop and Maintain an Effective Service Delivery System.

The primary purpose of the District is to save lives and property.  With fire growth factors and cardiac/respiratory arrest resuscitation ability measured in minutes, it is incumbent upon the fire service to assure the rapid deployment of resources to provide the most favorable outcome to our citizens.
