Percent compliance with obtaining a voluntary Safety & Health Consultation through the Washington State Dept. of Labor & Industries. The consultation shall include an audit of: District facilities; apparatus; equipment; written safety program components; safety procedures; and overall accident prevention program. This measure includes correction of all audit findings. Conducted every three years - due in 2006.

What does this measure tell us?
A comprehensive written Health & Safety Program is required under Federal OSHA and Washington State WISHA requirements. This measure tells us whether or not we are in compliance with all vertical and horizontal standards required for a fire department by Washington Administrative Code (WAC).
Goal being measured:
Develop and Maintain an Effective Training & Safety Program.
Because of the emergent nature of service this organization provides, it is an essential goal that all of our valued members are adequately aware of and implement safe work practices in their daily activity.
