What does this measure tell us?

WAC 296-842-12005 requires the employer to develop and maintain a written Respiratory Protection Program and Recordkeeping in any workplace where respirators are necessary to protect the health of the member with required work site-specific procedures and elements for required respirator use.  Furthermore, a suitably trained program administrator must administer the program.  This measurement tells us the percentage of overall compliance with each individual component of these requirements.

Goal being measured:

Develop and Maintain an Effective Training & Safety Program.

WAC 296-305 Safety Standards for Fire Fighters requires that every employer provide and require the use of appropriate safety devices and safeguards, and shall do everything reasonably possible to protect the safety and health of its members.
