What does this measure tell us?

This measure helps assure the District has procedures and trains office staff and EMS crews responsible for collecting and inputting data for transport billing in accordance with state and federal laws.  The measure also provides for generation and review of activity reports to help assure compliance with the EMS Transport Billing Office Business Plan.

Goal being measured:

To Have a Sound Financial Plan.

The EMS Transport Billing Office is designed to assist the District with offsetting the costs associated with ambulance transport services by collecting monies from insurance companies representing those citizens using the service.  This measure allows the District to comply with the will of its citizenry by providing a higher level of EMS service (transport) without having to increase fire district property tax assessments.
