Percent compliance with conducting building and site plan review relative to fire safety for commercial structures located within the City of Mill Creek; in cooperation with and upon the request of the Mill Creek Building Official. 75        
Percent compliance with performing, on an as-needed basis, a review of applicable code standards from the International Fire and Building Codes with the City of Mill Creek Building Official; includes making recommendations for modifications to adopted codes. 100        
Percent compliance with approving and/or authorizing variances to building and site plans such as, but not limited to egress, water flow requirements, hydrant locations, FDC and enunciator panel locations, and sprinkler rooms – upon the request of the City of Mill Creek Building Official. 90        
Percent compliance with conducting Fire Suppression and Fire Alarm System Acceptance Tests upon request of developers and/or the City of Mill Creek Building Official. 100

What does this measure tell us?

         

This measure describes basic services provided by the District in regard to conducting building and site plan review and conducting acceptance tests for fire suppression and fire detection systems for facilities located within the City of Mill Creek.  The District and the City of Mill Creek Building Official work cooperatively to assure fire and life safety concerns are adequately address and are in accordance with adopted building and fire codes.

Goal being measured:

         

Develop a Fire, Injury Prevention, Education, and Public Affairs Program.
