What does this measure tell us?

This measure ensures that the District has a program with lesson outlines for members of the District to conduct fire safety public education to target citizens and businesses in a consistent and uniform manner with proven objectives based on the NFPA-sponsored Programs.

Goal being measured:

Develop a Fire, Injury Prevention, Education, and Public Affairs Program.

These fire prevention efforts are intended to assist citizens of the District in learning to practice common fire safety techniques to help them prevent fires and injuries from fire, and to survive in an emergency situation.  By providing this service, the potential for fire and life safety incidents can be reduced, which can further result in providing a safer working environment for the members of the Fire District.
